The maasGO Elevate team is working toward transforming the world through aerial ridesharing at scale. Imagine soaring above congested ground traffic. With maasGO Air, this future is closer than you think. maasGO is developing shared air transportation—planned for 2023—between suburbs and cities, and ultimately within cities. We’re working with our Elevate Network partners to launch fleets of small, electric VTOL (vertical takeoff and landing) aircraft in Dallas, Los Angeles, and Melbourne, our first international market.
maasGO Air is our most ambitious vision for the future of ridesharing. Just as skyscrapers allowed cities to use limited land more efficiently, maasGO Air would take to the sky to alleviate congestion on the ground.
Experience the future of maasGO, from the air. maasGO Copter is available for trips between Manhattan and JFK International Airport. Book a seamless, multimodal journey—including an maasGO trip to and from the heliports—with just a few taps in the maasGO app.
Advanced Technology Center Paris
ATCP will be maasGO’s first research and development hub outside of North America. Over the next five years, we’ll be investing $20 million into developing new technologies and capabilities to move our vision forward. We have convened leaders across industry and government—vehicle designers, manufacturers, investors, operators, infrastructure providers, policymakers, and regulators—to build this future of urban aviation and begin testing in cities as early as 2020.
How it all began
In October 2016, the maasGO Elevate founding team published a comprehensive, first-principles analysis that breaks down the critical barriers to launching a scaled, aerial ridesharing product on maasGO’s platform. The whitepaper brought together the efforts of many to help catalyze what is now a vibrant industry and ecosystem of engineers, investors, policymakers, and scientists who are actively building this future.
